Cedar Knob Nexus

Experience the Off-Grid Opportunities

153 acres of Appalachian mountain country rising from approximately 3,350 feet at the lower mountain community space to 4,109 feet at Cedar Knob.

Limited off-grid access for compact RVs, vans, private groups, properly prepared 4×4 overlanders and private registry events — with the land itself as the experience.

You are not arriving at a campsite. You are arriving at the mountain.

Cedar Knob Nexus is not being positioned as another conventional campground or RV park. The experience is intentionally more primitive, more private and more connected to the land itself.

“You’re not rolling into a setting. You’re rolling into the experience.”

Bring the home you travel in. Bring the supplies you need. What Cedar Knob Nexus provides is something increasingly difficult to find: access to real Appalachian mountain country with room to experience it.

Cedar Knob Nexus Appalachian mountain property

One mountain property. Very different experiences.

The lower mountain community space sits at approximately 3,350 feet, while Cedar Knob rises to 4,109 feet. That change in elevation, terrain and access helps create distinctly different opportunities across the property.

Different ways to experience Cedar Knob Nexus.

Access is intentionally limited. Each opportunity is matched to the location, vehicle, group and type of mountain experience being sought.

01

Lower Mountain Community Space

Approximately 3,350 Feet • Two Opportunities

The approximately 35-acre lower mountain community space is the future cultural campus of Cedar Knob Nexus.

During this early activation period, two primitive off-grid locations are available at any given time for suitable compact, self-contained RVs and vans.

This is a forest setting rather than a prepared campsite. Site placement depends upon the vehicle, road and current property conditions.

$1,250 per week • Two opportunities available at any given time.
02

Walnut Hills Private Group Experience

More Space • More Privacy • Small Groups

A larger private mountain experience within Walnut Hills, incorporating Lot 30 and additional designated camping spaces.

Designed for families, friends or small groups looking for more room and separation while maintaining the primitive character of the property.

Up to three designated camping locations • $5,000 per week.
03

Top of the World

One Properly Prepared 4×4 Overland Unit

The most remote off-grid opportunity currently available at Cedar Knob Nexus.

Access is by a rough primitive logging road and requires a properly prepared 4×4 overland vehicle and an experienced operator.

This is not intended for conventional Class C motorhomes, passenger cars or ordinary all-wheel-drive vehicles.

One unit only • $420 per night or $1,500 per week • Access subject to current road and weather conditions.
04

Private Registry Events

Gather • Celebrate • Create

Cedar Knob Nexus is available for select private registry events, retreats, reunions and curated group experiences.

Packages may incorporate approved portions of the community space, Walnut Hills and other designated areas depending upon the event, group size and current property conditions.

Custom registry event packages available by arrangement • Advance reservation required.
Lower mountain forest at Cedar Knob Nexus

Approximately 3,350 feet. Thirty-five acres of future possibility.

The lower mountain community space forms the early activation area of Cedar Knob Nexus.

It is wooded, primitive and intentionally low-density, with the future vision of becoming the cultural campus while preserving the mountain character that makes the property distinctive.

Today, the experience remains simple: forest, rock, mountain air, primitive access and room to get away from the ordinary.

Top of the World is a different experience entirely.

The Top of the World opportunity should not be confused with the lower mountain forest settings. The route is substantially more demanding and access is intentionally restricted.

Experienced Operators Only

The route is a rough logging road rather than an improved campground or gravel access road.

A properly prepared 4×4 overland vehicle is required, along with an operator experienced in navigating primitive mountain terrain.

Rain, erosion, fallen trees and changing road conditions can affect access. Availability therefore remains subject to current conditions.

The land can become part of the occasion.

Cedar Knob Nexus can accommodate select private registry experiences for groups looking for something distinctly different from a conventional event venue. Packages are structured around the event, the group and the portions of the property appropriate for the occasion.
